What is self hosting?
Self hosting means that you operate your own apps instead of using whatever is handed to you by the major tech companies.
How is this possible?
There's a bunch of apps out there that are free and available that the tech bros don't want you to use. They make it all super easy to stay with them.
Why go through the effort?
The pictures, videos, and messages we send will be the chronicle of our lives after we die. Do you trust that YT and FB will never abuse the trust you have in them?
Can I self host without the effort?
That's called managed hosting. You'll have to find an admin to manage your apps. I'm available for a free initial consultation.
Don't have a server or home internet?
You can self host from a vps for as little as a dollar a month.
